People choose to volunteer at SKILLS for a variety of reasons:
• As part of educational placements
• To gain work experience
• To share their gifts, interests, and knowledge with others; for example
• If you have a passion for scrap booking or card making or other crafts… then you might enjoy making homemade thank you or invitation cards for use by SKILLS or helping someone to scrapbook photos from a vacation, or spending time with someone doing crafts…
• If you like to write… you might enjoy helping people to chronicle stories about their lives or writing articles for the SKILLS internal newsletter…
• If you like special events … you might enjoy helping with fundraising efforts such as Casinos or small silent auctions or helping to organize agency functions like the annual picnic…
• If you are a people person… you might like to getting together with someone for coffee or to share a meal
• If you love gardening, or baking or cars or sports… we'd be pleased to introduce you to someone who shares your passion.

Volunteer opportunities at SKILLS are flexible. Internal Training opportunities are available to all volunteers at no cost.
